This weekly program, offered by G&W Discover, provides structured support in math and biology, focusing on core concept, problem-solving skills, and steady learning habits.
An advanced coaching program by G&W Discover providing weekly coaching sessions for a middle school MathCounts team, focused on MATHCOUNTS preparation.
Since its founding, G&W Discover has organized in-person, community-based tutoring programs built on peer mentorship. Beginning with summer service tutoring, the organization has expanded to provide continued academic support throughout the school year.
G&W Discover offers face-to-face, small-group tutoring in mathematics, biology, and guitar. These sessions allow tutors to work closely with students, respond to learning needs in real time, and provide timely, individualized support.
In addition to supporting learners, G&W Discover actively develops student tutors by guiding them in lesson planning, clear explanation, and effective peer support—helping students grow as both learners and mentors.
Building on trust established through these programs, a school teacher entrusted G&W Discover to coach the school’s math competition team, providing ongoing weekly support through the winter and into the February competitions.
Through these efforts, students develop academic skills, confidence, and a healthier relationship with learning.
In its second year, G&W Discover expanded its programs, reflecting trust from students and families in the community. Building on prior experience, the organization offered more structured academic support while continuing to emphasize mentorship, consistency, and student-centered learning.
In its first year, G&W Discover launched its initial community tutoring programs to support students in mathematics and science. Founded and led by students, the organization focused on creating a supportive environment where peers could learn together, build confidence, and strengthen foundations.
