These early moments—from organizing sessions to recording lessons—became
the foundation for a student-led community built around learning, mentorship, and service.
Our Programs
We believe learning works best face-to-face, where tutors can notice confusion, answer questions in real time, and adjust explanations. Peer-led mentoring makes support more personal, focused, and responsive.
G&W Discover supports school math team students through guided problem-solving practice, competition preparation, and teamwork. In 2026, students brought their preparation into a real MATHCOUNTS competition setting.
Tutor Mentorship
Students grow from learners into peer tutors through observation, preparation, and real in-person teaching. With guidance, they learn to explain ideas clearly, lead small discussions, and support younger students.
At G&W Discover, learning is built through real face-to-face interaction. In person, tutors can notice confusion, adjust explanations immediately, and build trust through consistent support.
Teaching is not only about giving answers. It is about listening, responding, and helping students feel seen as they learn.
